Barracouta Witsand accommodation is a spacious double-storey self-catering holiday home in Witsand, offering beautiful views across the Breede River and generous living and entertainment spaces for families and groups. Sleeping up to 12 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms, the home is particularly well suited to extended families, groups of friends, and guests coming to Witsand for fishing, boating and relaxed holidays beside the Breede.

Set above the river, Barracouta enjoys an open outlook across a green-belt conservation area towards the Breede River. Walking paths through the green belt pass between the house and the water, adding to the peaceful, natural setting and providing a lovely area to explore on foot.

Barracouta has 5 air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Four bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, while the fifth bedroom has 2 bunk beds and sleeps 4 guests, making it ideal for children or younger members of a family group.

All 5 en-suite bathrooms have a shower, basin and toilet, with one bathroom also offering a bath. For additional convenience, there is a separate guest toilet on each floor.

Space to Relax & Entertain

Both floors have their own indoor braai and bar area, making year-round entertaining easy regardless of the weather. Each bar has a small glass-fronted undercounter drinks fridge, while the upstairs bar also has an ice maker.

The upstairs entertainment area includes a pool table, perfect for relaxed evenings or a little friendly competition after a day on the river.

Both living rooms have a Smart TV, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the home. Having two separate living areas is particularly convenient when several families or different generations are sharing the house, allowing everyone to gather together when they choose or enjoy their own space.

The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals for a larger group, with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as cutlery, crockery and everyday kitchen essentials.

A large 10-seater dining table creates a welcoming central space for family meals, breakfasts before heading out for the day and long evenings spent together around the table.

The home’s elevated position provides beautiful views across the green belt towards the Breede River, while the walking paths below offer an easy way to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Made for Witsand Holidays

Barracouta is particularly well equipped for guests visiting Witsand to make the most of the Breede River’s renowned fishing and boating opportunities.

There is parking for 1 boat and trailer as well as 2 additional vehicles. After a day on the river, guests have access to a dedicated fish-cleaning area, outdoor shower and hosepipe for rinsing down the boat. The boat-parking area also has convenient direct access to the kitchen. Barracouta does not have a private mooring or jetty, but guests can make use of Witsand’s public river access and two public jetties for boating activities.

Barracouta is a double-storey home with internal stairs and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility.

Pets are not permitted, and smoking is not allowed.
